Managing Teams

Miki Mitsunari

Its founder and representative, Miki Mitsunari, has over 25 years of professional experience in environmental business, environmental risk management, and sustainability, including more than 10 years of environmental and sustainability consulting prior to establishing FINEV.

In the field of soil contamination and brownfields, she has conducted a wide range of research and consulting projects covering domestic and international laws and policies, environmental liabilities and asset retirement obligations, environmental liability insurance, and treatment in real estate valuation. Her work includes obtaining a patent, as well as extensive participation in expert committees, contributions to publications, and speaking engagements.

She has led and consulted on corporate sustainability projects since the early 2000s, when such initiatives were commonly referred to as CSR, advising major listed companies on sustainability strategies and disclosure.

Since 2022, FINEV has been a member of the Esri Partner Network of Esri, the U.S.-based developer of ArcGIS. Through this partnership, FINEV leverages GIS for environmental analysis and location-based market research, while also supporting clients in the effective use of GIS.

Prior to founding FINEV, Miki Mitsunari worked at Tokyu Land Corporation and at a think tank within the Mizuho Financial Group.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Keio University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania (awarded). She was enrolled in the PhD program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania prior to returning to Japan.

She is a licensed Real Estate Transaction Agent (Takken-shi) in Japan.

She is based in Tokyo. Her personal interests include reading, art, and golf. She holds a Natori title in traditional Japanese dance.
